A lit fireplace creates an atmosphere of warmth and coziness. Artists are increasingly using this image as a basis for the design of textiles and decorative objects. For example, French stage designer Mathias Kiss designed a screen in the form of a blazing fire for the installation Light My Fire, and architect Peter Marino created a pattern evoking associations with fire and sunset for Rubelli jacquard fabric. Venetian glassblowers depicted dancing flames in their work for Venini.
And the luminaire manufacturers presented torch lamps and models with colored lampholders in red-orange, playing with reflections and halftones.
